David is a professional actor and theatre director who has worked extensively on stage and screen throughout the world.
​

In London he has performed at the Royal National Theatre, The Old Vic, The Barbican, The Young Vic and extensively in the West End, in a range of work from title roles in Shakespeare’s Hamlet and Romeo & Juliet to leading roles in West End Musicals. Internationally he has played the Kennedy Centre in Washington and the Broad Stage in Los Angeles as well as theatres in New York, Hong Kong, South Korea, South Carolina and Utah. He has collaborated with internationally renowned puppet companies Handspring and Gyre & Gimble, and worked with directors such as Marianne Elliot, John Doyle and Max Stafford-Clark.

On screen he has filmed hit comedy series Extras (with Samuel L Jackson and Ricky Gervais) and Outnumbered as well as multiple film and television dramas for Netflix, ITV and Channel 4. He has also appeared in several television commercials including one which aired at the Super Bowl in 2019.

David has taught workshops on acting, puppetry, Shakespeare and New Writing at Drama Schools including ALRA and University of Utah as well as at schools across the UK.

As a theatre director David has mostly worked on new writing and Shakespeare in London and Manchester
